A seven-stage timeline running from sharing reports, through specialist opinions, estimates, visa, arrival and treatment, to follow-up at home.

What happens at each stage?

The journey begins before any travel is booked. You complete the free case review form. A case manager then tells you which reports, scans and images the specialists will need. You send them through a secure link rather than ordinary email.

With your consent the case manager shares your file with suitable hospitals accredited by NABH or JCI. Each hospital’s specialists send a written opinion. It covers the recommended treatment, any alternatives, the team involved and how long they suggest you plan to stay. You receive these opinions with each hospital’s own cost estimate, laid out side by side. The final bill depends on your treatment and recovery.

Once you choose, the hospital issues the letter needed for the e-Medical visa. Your case manager guides you through the official portal and helps plan flights around your admission date. On arrival you are met at the airport and settled near the hospital.

Who is responsible for what?

IndiaMedica is a case-management service. It is not a hospital and gives no medical advice. During treatment your case manager deals with admission, deposits, billing questions and updates to your family. Your doctors decide the treatment, the length of stay and when it is safe to fly.

What it costs to use IndiaMedica

The case review, opinions and estimates are free. You pay the hospital directly. Optional services such as accommodation, interpreters and transfers are quoted in advance.

Why are there no dates on this timeline?

Every case moves at its own pace. Report collection, the hospital’s opinion and the treating team’s plan all vary. Only your specialist can say how long treatment and recovery may take.

Questions people ask

Do I have to commit to a hospital when I send my reports?

No. The case review is free and carries no obligation. You receive opinions and estimates from suitable accredited hospitals and decide for yourself whether to go ahead and with which hospital. You can stop at any stage before treatment is booked.

What happens after I return home?

Before you fly you receive a discharge summary, your medicines, fitness-to-fly advice and a follow-up plan. Once home the team arranges teleconsultations with your treating doctors and helps share results with your local doctor so care continues where you live.
