Kazakh nationals are eligible for the Indian e-Visa, so a patient can apply online for an e-Medical visa and up to two companions for attendant visas. Because the e-Visa cannot be extended or converted, plan the length of your stay with the specialist before you apply.

Which visa does a Kazakh patient need?
Kazakhstan appears on the official e-Visa eligible list. The patient uses the e-Medical visa and companions use the e-Medical Attendant visa. Apply at least four days before arrival and within a 120-day window.
Why does the length of stay matter so much?
The portal states that the e-Visa is non-extendable and non-convertible. A treatment plan can include tests, a procedure, early follow-up and a check that you are fit to fly. Only the treating specialist can estimate that. Ask the hospital in writing how long it expects you to stay, and plan your visa dates around that answer.
Do you need to register with the FRRO?
The Bureau of Immigration says foreigners whose medical or attendant visa is valid for more than 180 days must register within 14 days of arrival. Pakistan nationals have a stricter rule. Read the conditions on your own visa and ask the hospital’s international desk to confirm.
Can you change hospital after arrival?
Only case by case. The Bureau of Immigration allows a change of hospital or place of treatment from the one on your initial visa only with documentary proof justifying it. Choose the hospital carefully before you apply.
What should you prepare?
- A passport with six months’ validity on the application date and two blank pages.
- Reports and imaging, with an English or Russian summary from your doctor.
- The hospital’s acceptance letter, naming you and your attendants.
- A list of current medicines and doses.
- The e-Arrival card, completed online within 72 hours before arrival.
Is Russian-language support available?
IndiaMedica publishes a full Russian edition. If you read Russian, you can send your case and questions in Russian. We can ask hospitals whether a Russian-speaking interpreter is available.
How does IndiaMedica help Kazakh patients?
We review your reports free of charge and ask suitable hospitals for an opinion. The treating specialist decides on treatment and the length of stay. We ask hospitals for that estimate in writing, so you can set your visa and travel dates with care. Our referral fee is disclosed and never changes your price.
Questions people ask
What happens if my treatment in India takes longer than my e-Visa?
The e-Visa portal says the e-Visa is non-extendable and non-convertible. Contact the hospital’s international desk and the FRRO as soon as you know. It is far better to plan a realistic stay with your specialist before you apply.
Do Kazakh patients register with the FRRO?
The Bureau of Immigration requires registration within 14 days for foreigners whose medical or attendant visa is valid for more than 180 days. Check the period on your visa. The hospital can explain whether this applies to you.
Can I write to IndiaMedica in Russian?
Yes. IndiaMedica has a full Russian edition, and you can send your reports and questions in Russian. Hospitals usually prefer English reports, so include an English summary from your doctor if you have one. It helps the specialist read your case faster.
