Kyrgyz nationals are eligible for the Indian e-Visa, so a patient can apply online for an e-Medical visa and up to two attendants can apply alongside. Most problems at the border are simple ones. These include a passport too close to expiry, too few blank pages, or a missing entry stamp.

Which visa does a Kyrgyz patient need?
Kyrgyzstan appears on the official e-Visa eligible list. The patient applies for the e-Medical visa and each companion for an e-Medical Attendant visa. Apply at least four days before arrival and within the 120-day window.
What passport checks should you make first?
- The passport must have at least six months’ validity when you apply for the e-Visa.
- It must have at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.
- The name on the hospital letter must match the passport exactly.
- Attendants need the same checks on their own passports.
What happens at immigration?
The e-Visa portal says biometric details are captured on arrival. The Bureau of Immigration asks every traveller to submit an e-Arrival card online within 72 hours before arrival. It also says a visa does not confer a right of entry, which rests with immigration officers. Check that your passport has been stamped on arrival and on departure. If a stamp is missed, contact the nearest FRRO or immigration post.
Where can you enter?
An e-Visa can only be used at a designated airport or seaport. The portal lists Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Amritsar, Lucknow and Jaipur among the airports. Make sure your final flight lands at one of them.
What medical papers should you carry?
- The hospital’s acceptance letter.
- Copies of key reports and imaging, in hand luggage.
- A list of medicines with a doctor’s letter for any you carry.
- Your doctor’s contact details for follow-up at home.
Is Russian-language support available?
IndiaMedica publishes a full Russian edition. If you read Russian, you can send your case and questions in Russian. We can ask hospitals about a Russian-speaking interpreter.
How does IndiaMedica help Kyrgyz patients?
We review your reports free of charge and ask suitable hospitals for an opinion, with your consent. The treating specialist decides on treatment and when you may fly home. We check that names in the hospital letter match your passports before you apply for your visas.
Questions people ask
How much passport validity does a Kyrgyz patient need?

What should I do if my passport is not stamped?
The Bureau of Immigration asks travellers to make sure arrival and departure seals are affixed. If one is missed, contact the nearest FRRO or immigration post. Do this promptly, before you try to leave India.
Does IndiaMedica book flights?
No. We do not sell flights. We help you plan around the hospital’s dates and remind you that an e-Visa is only valid at designated airports listed on the official portal.
